The main event of the upcoming UFC on Fox 5 bout between Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz is already off to a spicy start as Diaz came in over the limit.
UFC lightweight champion Henderson is aiming to defend his title against Diaz. As Bloody Elbow reports, Henderson came in under weight at 154.6 but Diaz was 0.6 pounds over the limit at 155.6.
Diaz weighed in at 155.2 on his second attempt and still has time to drop the weight so he can challenge Henderson. Henderson won the lightweight championship after defeating Frankie Edgar in UFC 144 and successfully defended it last August in a rematch.
Henderson has won all five fights under the UFC flag, but will face a stiff test in Seattle, Wash. Diaz has lost only two matches as a professional MMA fighter and grew up in Seattle, although he has never fought on the big stage in hometown.
