San Jose Sharks fans have been without hockey for far too long. While the NHL continues to work out their issues during the lockout, there is some good news for hockey fans in the Bay Area.
According to a report from Brodie Brazil of CSN Bay Area, the San Francisco Bulls have set up a game at HP Pavilion on Dec. 17. The Bulls play in the ECHL and are currently 8-12-1 on the season, which has them 19 points in the Pacific Division. San Francisco is currently tied for fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
The Bulls will take on the Stockton Thunder the night of the 17th. The Thunder are one of the league's better teams with a 12-5-2 record, and fans should be in for a good game.
The game may not totally take away the frustrations that have mounted for NHL fans in recent months, but at least it'll be some quality, competitive hockey.
