The two Bay Area NFL franchises have been going in separate directions this season. The San Francisco 49ers fell to the Rams on Sunday, but the team still features a record of 8-3-1 and figures to be one of the NFC's favorites to reach the Super Bowl. As for the Oakland Raiders, the team has really struggled after a decent start to the year, and now they're left looking toward next season, with a 3-9 record.
In ESPN's latest round of power rankings, the 49ers and Raiders are on different ends of the spectrum. San Francisco dropped one spot to fourth, while Oakland held at No. 29.
On CBS Sports' Week 14 power rankings, they dropped the 49ers three spots down to sixth following their latest loss. The Raiders are now in last place following their latest defeat, and it seems unlikely they'll be getting out of this spot anytime soon.
FOX has the Niners at No. 5 in their latest rankings. The Raiders are, once again, in last place at 32nd on the list.
