For the last three bowl seasons, both Bowling Green and San Jose State were watching the games from the comforts of their respective dorm rooms. The Military Bowl will be SJSU's first bowl game since 2006 and Bowling Green's first since 2009.
Despite having not played in a bowl game in six straight years, the Spartans are favored by 7; total points are at 43.
No. 24 San Jose State has been one of the surprises of the college football season. The Spartans are explosive on offense, having scored 30 or more points in nine of 12 games during the season while holding opponents to less than 30 points in 10 of 12.
In contrast, Bowling Green has scored more than 30 points in only three games this season. The defense has held the opposing team to under 20 points in 11 of 12 games. The Falcons were under in points in all but one game.
The Military Bowl will be played in RFK Stadium (Washington, D.C.) on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 3:00 p.m. ET. For more on the lines for this game, visit our buddies at OddsShark.com.
