Rolando McClain is eligible to return to the Oakland Raiders on Monday with his two-game suspension coming to an end. The question remains, however, whether he will choose to return or continue to remain away from the team.
After being dismissed from Raiders practice in November, McClain expressed discontent with his situation on his Facebook page.
If he returns, McClain can't do much more harm to the Raiders defense going forward. In its two games without the linebacker, Oakland dropped its fifth and sixth-straight contest while allowing over 400 yards of total offense in both occasions.
McClain is in his third year in the NFL and was considered an integral member of the Raiders defense coming into this season. He topped his rookie numbers in his sophomore campaign, totaling 99 tackles and five sacks in 2012. In the 11 contests prior to his suspension, McClain had 60 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
