Williams will miss the rest of the 49ers season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

The San Francisco 49ers stopped a lot of the New Orleans Saints momentum yesterday with a 31-21 victory in the Big Easy. But the 49ers didn't escape New Orleans without a significant injury to their kickoff and punt returner.

Williams was injured late in the third quarter against the Saints. He'd been averaging over 27 yards per kickoff return and 13 yards on every punt return. Williams was also the team's fifth leading receiver with 14 catches for 212 yards and one touchdown on the season.

The 49ers may also be without backup running back Kendall Hunter. He was scheduled to have an MRI on a left ankle sprain today. Hunter had picked up 371 yards of rushing and two touchdowns on the season.

The Seattle Seahawks could be without their starting cornerbacks for four games. Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner both reportedly tested positive for Adderall and could face four game suspensions for violating the league's performance enhancing drugs policy. Both are appealing their suspensions.
