The San Jose State Spartans (9-2) are on the verge of just their seventh 10-win season in school history and, although this Saturday's showdown with Louisiana Tech won't be a walk in the park, SJSU is favored -4 over the visiting Bulldogs.
The line originally opened with the Spartans at -3.5, and has actually grown as high as -4.5 at Station Casinos, a chain of local casinos in Las Vegas.
Louisiana Tech also owns a 9-2 record, featuring wins over BCS conference schools Illinois and Virginia.
The Spartans are winless against BCS conference foes, having played only one game -- a loss in the season opener to then-No. 21 Stanford.
If it can pull off the win, it would be San Jose State's first 10-win season since 1987.
Both schools are currently tied for second place in the WAC behind Utah State. The winner of Saturday's game would be in sole possession behind the Aggies.
