Bears vs. 49ers: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

Previewing this week's key Monday Night Football battle between the Bears and 49ers.

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears will look to get back on track this Monday night. Both teams are heavy favorites to reach the Super Bowl in 2013, and they're led by some of the best defenses in the league.

Perhaps the most interesting storyline to watch for is the health and play of both quarterbacks. Alex Smith sustained a concussion in Week 10, although he's on pace to play. Jay Cutler suffered a concussion and has already been ruled out by Chicago's medical staff. This means Jason Campbell will be the likely starter. Whichever of these two quarterbacks has the better game likely comes out on top.

Whichever team wins this game also stays in the hunt for home field advantage in the playoffs and a first round bye. A loss would likely end any chances they have of catching one-loss Atlanta, although a win would keep them within a game of the Falcons. Needless to say, the stakes will be high in this one as the battle for playoff positioning heats up.

Date, State Time: Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, 5:30 p.m. PT

TV Schedule: ESPN

Online Stream: WatchESPN

Odds: The 49ers opened as 4 1/2 point favorites, although some lines are as high as seven points now.
