The Oakland Athletics started off the MLB Playoffs on the wrong foot, losing both of their games on the road against the Detroit Tigers to fall in a 2-0 rut. However, they get their final three games of the series in the Bay Area, and they'll look to reverse the trend starting Tuesday night.

Brett Anderson gets the start for the A's, as he gets ready for his first postseason start in Oakland. Anderson has pitched well in his six starts this season, going 4-2, but will be seeing his first real action since suffering an oblique injury on September 19th. He will likely be on a shortened pitch count, and most of the A's pitching staff will be available to finish off the game.

Coming up for the Tigers is Anibal Sanchez, who struggled for much of the season before turning it around in the last month. Sanchez has lowered his ERA from 4.52 to 3.74 in the span of a month-and-a-half.

First pitch for Game 3 is scheduled for 6:07 PM PT, 9:07 PM ET. The game will be televised on TBS.
