The top college basketball recruit in the 2013 class is narrowing his list down, and one Bay Area school remains. Jabari Parker list includes the BYU Cougars, Duke Blue Devils, Florida Gators, Michigan State Spartans, and Stanford Cardinal.
Parker is a member of the Chicago LDS, which would seemingly give BYU a huge advantage in the sweepstakes. Parker has visited BYU on numerous occasions and would have to be considered one of the biggest contenders.
Parker's father, Sonny Parker, told the Associated Press, "He is going to take all those five visits and then he'll decide."
The Blue Devils have to be considered as well for their national cache, and both Florida and Michigan State have solid resumes. But the surprise is Stanford, which continues to make the cut-off. Parker has visited Stanford on multiple occasions and seems to be considering the Cardinal seriously.
The 6'9 forward average 19.8 points and 8.9 rebounds as a junior at Chicago's Simeon Career Academy.
