The Oakland Athletics and San Francisco Giants gave the Bay Area a baseball season to remember over the summer. Both clubs are playoff-bound and have the pitching required to make a deep run in October. As the postseason games are set to begin over the weekend, the oddsmakers in Vegas have released their odds for every club's pursuit of the World Series.

The Yankees (surprise!) were given the best odds to win the World Series, according to Odds Shark. They're listed at +475. The Giants came in at +715, third-best among NL clubs. The A's were listed at +840 despite their hot finish to the season. The Rangers, the team the A's beat to win the division on the final day of the regular season, are at +820.

The Nationals were given the best odds in the National League at +510. This was a bit surprising given their struggles in September and the loss of Stephen Strasburg. The Reds came in right behind Washington at +585. Most feel the Braves (+1250) and Cardinals (+1675) don't have a great chance with their one-game elimination matchup on Friday.
