Cardinals vs. Giants, 2012 NLCS Game 7: Time, TV schedule, lineups and more

The NLCS will be determined in a seventh game after the San Fransisco Giants once again kept their season alive with a win over the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6 on Sunday night.

The San Fransisco Giants once again managed to stave off elimination and extended their season to a seventh and final game to determine the NLCS with the St. Louis Cardinals. Behind a strong pitching performance by Ryan Vogelsong, the Giants topped the Cardinals 6-1 in Game 6 on Sunday night. To complete the comeback in the series, San Fransisco will have to do better against projected Game 7 starter Kyle Lohse, who allowed only one run to earn a win for St. Louis in Game 3.

Lohse has pitched well this postseason for the Cardinals, producing a 2-0 record with a 1.96 ERA in three starts. He outdueled the Giants' Matt Cain in Game 3 as the San Fransisco starter allowed three runs on six hits to suffer his second loss of the playoffs.

St. Louis will try to break out of its offensive slump after scoring only one run in the previous two games against starters Vogelsong and Barry Zito. For the Giants, they will attempt to improve on their 5-0 record in elimination games this postseason, including three-straight victories in the NLDS after falling behind 2-0 in the series.

Game 7 will be nationally televised on FOX with Joe Buck on the play-by-play and Tim McCarver on the color commentary. The broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. on Monday night.
