The NBA's preseason could get an injection of excitement Sunday as the Sacramento Kings take on the Los Angeles Lakers in what could be Lakers center Dwight Howard's debut in a Lakers jersey.
Early reports out of Los Angeles say there is a chance that the Kings will have to deal with the newest Laker force on Sunday night, if doctors clear him to play.
In preseason action thus far, Sacramento has looked strong, with DeMarcus Cousins posting a double-double against the Lakers in Friday night action from Las Vegas. The Kings were able to top the Lakers, 103-98, and send the Lakers to their fifth-straight loss to open the preseason.
Guard Marcus Thornton grabbed 19 points and five rebounds against the Lakers while guard Isaiah Thomas facilitated all night, collecting 10 assists to go with eight points and two steals.
