After a lengthy rain delay lasting more than two hours, the National League Championship Series Game 3 tilt between the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium is scheduled to resume at 7:05 p.m. PT according to the Giants' official Twitter feed.

The Giants currently trail the game 3-1 and are deadlocked in a 1-1 series tie with St. Louis. Starting pitcher Matt Cain will leave the game and be replaced by Javier Martinez after allowing three runs on six hits while walking one. San Francisco's lone run came off the bat of Pablo Sandoval, who grounded into a fielder's choice in the top of the third inning to open the scoring.

Cardinals utility man Matt Carpenter homered off Cain in the bottom of the third to give the Cardinals the lead. They would add an additional run in the bottom of the seventh inning off a Shane Robinson grounder to second base that resulted in an RBI.
