The Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement with Sleep Train Mattress Centers to rename the team's home arena.

The Sacramento Kings have reached a five-year deal with Sleep Train Mattress Centers to rename the team's home arena for the chain, according to the Sacramento Bee.

The name change is scheduled to take place some time in November. The previous owner to the naming rights, Power Balance bracelet company, went bankrupt and was unable fulfill the terms of its one-year agreement with the Kings. Sleep Train is the self-proclaimed number one mattress retailer on the West Coast and a highly recognizable corporation throughout the state of California.

Dale Carlsen, Sleep Train founder and CEO, was encouraged by the partnership and had nothing but positive aspirations for the relationship.

"We're hopeful they'll be here a long time," Carlsen said of the Kings.

The contract has a clause that allows the organization to either end the deal or renegotiate it if the team decides to leave Sacramento during the five-year term. The deal also includes joint community outreach work.
