Nonito Donaire is the favorite going into his boxing match with Toshiaki Nishioka on HBO Boxing on Saturday night.
Donaire's odds currently sit anywhere from -500 to -550, and as Bad Left Hook says, Donaire still could be underpriced. He is going up against a boxer in Nishioka that hasn't lost in six years, all the way back to March 6, 2004. Since dropping a decision to Veeraphol Sahaprom, Nishioka has gone 16-0 (10 KO).
But he collides with Donaire who is also on a bit of a hot streak. Donaire has won 12 straight contests with eight knockouts. Nisioka is the underdog anywhere from +400 down to +350. The books are saying he wins, but as Bad Left Hook also points out, no one is quite sure how it will go down, although a KO remains a nice possibility due to Nishioka's age and lack of activity in the boxing circuit lately.
