The California Golden Bears try to save what is looking like a lost season when they take on the No. 25 UCLA Bruins for Homecoming. Cal is 1-4 this season and coming off another home loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Bears continued to struggle with mental mistakes, had all sorts of trouble with protecting the quarterback or completing a forward pass, and the defense gave up drives at the worst possible times.
They'll be facing a UCLA team that is headed in the opposite direction. The 25th-ranked Bruins rebounded nicely from a home defeat to Oregon State by battering Colorado, 42-7, in Boulder. UCLA is 4-1 and is starting to look like a definitive Pac-12 South contender. UCLA has had historic struggles in Berkeley, as they haven't won in Strawberry Canyon in over a decade, but if there's any season that the Bruins could pull out a victory, it would be this one.
