NFL Mock Draft 2012: Andrew Luck, David DeCastro Are First Rounders, Jonathan Martin Is Not

SBNation's latest mock draft has been released and due to some changes up top, and in comparison with other national mock drafts, SBNation's proves just how much the draft is still being deciphered.

One thing that has not changed is the Indianapolis Colts taking Andrew Luck at the top. SBNation's Ryan Van Bibber had this to say about the status of the Colts taking Luck.

"I feel like that there's some preformatted copy to go here, a lorem ipsum for the most obvious pick in the NFL Draft in a long time. The Colts are starting anew, a process that started to get a little last week. There's no clear indication that Manning would be able to play at the beginning of the 2012 season. Luck's the best quarterback prospect since Manning."

At pick no. 13, the Arizona Cardinals are in desperate need to protect their quarterback. Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and whomever else they put back there was running for their lives. In comes Stanford offensive guard, David DeCastro, an instant upgrade.

"Arizona's expensive new quarterback, Kevin Kolb, was nearly ground into dust playing behind a faulty offensive line. They need tackles as well as interior linemen. DeCastro is the best lineman on the board at this point in the draft. He might be the best interior line prospect since Steve Hutchinson. The Stanford product will instantly upgrade the unit."

Whereas CBS Sportsline has offensive tackle Jonathan Martin going as high as no. 11 to the Kansas City Chiefs, he doesn't make the first round in the SBNation mock draft. That alone should give you an idea of how all over the place the draft still stands once you get passed the top picks.

Stay tuned.
