San Francisco Vs. San Diego Final Score: Dons Improve To .500 With 84-70 Win

The San Francisco Dons hosted the San Diego Toreros on Saturday night, looking to even up their record in the West Coast Conference. They ended up achieving their goal with an 84-70 win to improve to 5-5 in the WCC with an overall record of 15-9. The Toreros fall to 8-13 overall and a 3-6 WCC record.

San Francisco trailed 40-36 at halftime, but put up a big 48 points after the break while limiting the damage from San Diego when on defense. Dons forward Perris Blackwell led all scorers with 26 points, also recording eight rebounds and two assists. Michael Williams also contributing 20 points to the winning effort.

On the Toreros side, Ken Rancifer led San Diego scorers with 17 points. Johnny Dee was the only other San Diego player to put up double digits, finishing with 13 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The Dons will play their next game on Saturday, Feb. 4 as they visit the Loyola Marymount Lions.
