The Santa Clara Broncos visited the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday evening in search of their first win in conference play. Unfortunately, Santa Clara was once again in the loss column at the end of the night and looking at an 0-8 record in the WCC. The defeat brings the Broncos to an overall record of 8-13. The Waves improve to 2-8 in the WCC with the win and are also 8-13 overall.
Santa Clara entered halftime down by just four points, as the score stood at 32-28. The Waves put together another 42 points in the second half, led by guard Jordan Baker, who had 15 points in the game.
Santa Clara's leading scorer was guard Evan Roquemore, who also put up 15 points and had five assists. Ramond Cowels III and Brandon Clark each contributed 12 points for the Broncos.
The Broncos will play their next game on Thursday, Feb. 2 as they host the Portland Pilots at the Leavey Center.
