San Francisco Vs. San Diego: Dons Look To Move To .500 In WCC Play

The San Francisco Dons welcome the San Diego Toreros to War Memorial Gym on Saturday evening with the Dons looking to even their conference record at 5-5. USF stumbled out of the gates with four straight losses to open WCC play, but they have since won four of five to close the gap with 5-3 Loyola Marymount. San Diego sits a half game back of USF in what has become a tight race for the fourth seed.

Dons senior forward Angelo Caloiaro looks to continue his climb up the USF all-time scoring list. Coming off a 20-point performance against Santa Clara, the Dons leading scorer in 2011-12 is four points back of Joe Ellis for No. 22 in school history. Caloiaro has scored 1,116 points. USF's all-time leading scorer is Bill Cartwright who scored 2,116 points during his four-year career.

San Diego has won three of their last four contests with road wins over Santa Clara and Portland. Freshman guard Johnny Dee leads the Toreros in scoring with 14.6 points per game. shooting 43.2% from 3-point range. Freshman guard Christopher Anderson adds 8.2 points with 4.5 assists, while sophomore forward Dennis Kramer contributes 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Saturday's game tips off at 7:00pm PT and the game will be broadcast on TV by CSN California and on radio by 95.7 The GAME.
