USF Vs. Gonzaga: Dons Heavy Underdogs In Spokane On ESPNU

The San Francisco Dons head north to Spokane to face the Gonzaga Bulldogs looking to spring a significant road upset in WCC play. The Dons are sizable 15-point point underdogs, but do enter the game on a two-game win streak. The Dons scuffled to an 0-4 start in conference play, but bounced back with wins over Portland and Pepperdine.

The Dons have split their last four regular season contests with Gonzaga, although both wins came in San Francisco. Their last win in Spokane came in 1989 with a 67-64 victory. Since 2000, Gonzaga owns a 21-3 record against USF and has won 10 of the last 13 meetings.

The Dons will be looking for big numbers up and down their lineup. Angelo Caloiaro is leading the team with 14.2 points and 6.2 rebounds. Freshman Kevin Pangos leads the Bulldogs with 13.8 points and 3.5 assists. He is followed closely by Elias Harris who is scoring 13.4 points per game and grabbing a team-leading 7.7 rebounds per game.

Tip is at 7:00pm PT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
