The San Francisco Dons picked up their second straight win in West Coast Conference play on Saturday night as they hosted and defeated the Pepperdine Waves. With the win, the Dons improve to a 12-8 overall record, but are just 2-4 in WCC play. The Waves, meanwhile, drop to 7-10 overall and just 1-5 in the conference.
The Dons outpaced Pepperdine early but totally shut them down in the second half, limiting them to just 10-for-28 from the floor.
Dons guard Michael Williams had another great game, leading scorers with 17 points, including 15 points in the second half. Senior Rashad Green had 11 points and seven rebounds. A full five San Francisco players reached double-digits in scoring during the evening.
The Dons will play their next game on Thursday, January 19 when they visit the defending WCC champions the Gonzaga Bulldogs. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNU at 7:00 PM PT.
