According to CollegeFootballNews.com, a part of FOX Sports' Scout.com, six California Golden Bears football players have been invited to participate in the NFL Combine held in Indianapolis, Indiana, which takes place from Feb. 22-28. Those players are wide receiver Marvin Jones, offensive tackle Mitchell Schwartz, defensive end Trevor Guyton, linebacker Mychal Kendricks, safety Sean Cattouse and punter Bryan Anger.
Each player was a major contributor to Cal's 2011 season. Jones caught 62 passes for 846 yards and three touchdowns this season. Guyton was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection and co-led the team with 4.5 sacks. Mychal Kendricks was the team's most decorated player and was a second-team All American. Cattouse was a candidate for the Tatum Award. Anger was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection as was Schwartz.
The Combine will give these six players a chance to display their athleticism and any attributes they have that will set him apart from others that play the same position.
