Earthquakes vs. Chivas USA, MLS Preview: Quakes Look To Extend Unbeaten Streak in L.A. Against Chivas

The San Jose Earthquakes haven't been getting many wins as of late, but they haven't been taking many losses either. Chris Wondolowski, Steven Lenhart and the rest of the Quakes squad are undefeated in eight of their last nine matches in MLs play, and hope to extend that streak further Wednesday night against Chivas USA down in the City of Angels.

This California rivalry will spark back up at the Home Depot Center Wednesday evening with both teams looking to make moves up the standings in the Western Conference.  Chivas was riding a three-game losing streak unti this past weekend, earning a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire on Saturday. The Quakes have had back-to-back draws in their last two matches, playing to a 2-2 tie at Stanford Stadium with the New York Red Bulls on Saturday in front of 40,000 plus fans.

Chivas USA took their last meeting in April by a score of 2-1, thanks to a Mariano Truilljo goal in the 85th minute to break up the tie, and eventually lead to a Chivas win at Buck Shaw Stadium. Hopefully San Jose can return the favor on Chivas' home turf this evening.

Kick off is set for 7:30 pm PT this evening with coverage on CSN California, MLS Match Day Plus, 1370 KZSF AM, and 1220 KDOW AM.
