Despite the fact that the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers are on opposite ends of the NL West spectrum, don't tell that to Giants fans. It'll just give them more smack talk ammunition.
That's right, it's time once again for the Giants and Dodgers to renew their rivalry at AT&T Park as the boys in blue come to the City by the Bay for a three game series starting Monday night. L.A. is coming off of two straight losses to the Diamondbacks down at Chase Field, while the Giants just finished taking three of four in San Diego, two of which came in extra innings. The Dodgers currently are 11 games under .500, the Giants are 13 games above it, but no matter the records, these teams always have a bit of a chip on their shoulders when they play one another.
The Dodgers have taken four of the nine meetings these teams have had already in 2011 but have lost the last four meetings during series at Dodger stadium in May and the last two at home in April. Fans may be in store for a few pitcher's duels this series as the Giants will have Ryan Vogelsong, Madison Bumgarner, and Tim Lincecum pitching while the Dodgers will send out Chad Billingsley, Rubby De La Rosa, and Clayton Kershaw.
