Earthquakes vs. Crew, MLS Preview: Quakes Head to Columbus to Continue Winning Streak

Coming off of their confidence boosting victory over the English Premier League’s West Bromwich Albion earlier this week, the San Jose Earthquakes are back to their MLS schedule as they take on the Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium Saturday evening.

The Crew finally are returning to action after a midseason break, winners of three of their last four matches including their dramatic 1-0 win against the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 6. The Earthquakes are winless in their last five games in MLS play as they look to build off of their scoreless draw at Buck Shaw Stadium with Philadelphia Union last weekend.

In their last meeting with the Crew San Jose dominated from the first whistle, eventually taking a 3-0 victory and three points in the standings. Hopefully they can have a repeat performance out in Columbus this evening.

Kick off is set for 4:30 pm PT with coverage on CSN SportsNet plus and MLS match day.
