The 2011 American Century Championship teed off Friday afternoon in Lake Tahoe on VERSUS with a host of athletes on hand for the annual celebrity tournament. This year's tournament includes new Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette, as well as Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow. In a pre-tournament press conference Fredette discussed the similarities he has with Tebow as athletes coming out of college with criticism that their respective games would not convert at the next level.
While Tebow was not as dominant his rookie year as he was at Florida, he put together a solid campaign and appears ready to take his game to the next level. Fredette will join a Sacramento Kings squad that could be one of the more fun teams to watch when the NBA comes back.
Head past the jump to view video of Tebow discussing his golf game and interactions he'll have with Broncos VP of Football Operations, John Elway.
