The 2011 NCAA baeball tournament advances into the super regionals round June 10 through June 13 with sixteen teams competing in eight best-of-three series. The California Golden Bears host the Dallas Baptist University Patriots in Santa Clara at Stephen Schott Stadium. Cal's home field, Evans Diamond, does not have lights, which were necessary to accomodate ESPN's television broadcast of the super regionals.
The Bears battle the Patriots starting Saturday June 11 looking to earn a trip to the College World Series for the first time since 1992. Dallas Baptist is making its first ever appearance in the super regional round. General admission tickets are available for the contest and are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, youths and college students. You can purchase tickets at the Cal Athletics Office or over the phone by calling (800) GO BEARS. The stadium only holds 1,500 people, so get your tickets soon.
The best-of-three series kicks off Saturday June 11 and all three games will be broadcast on ESPNU, with the possibility of an if necessary game the ending up on ESPN2.
