2011 NCAA Baseball Tournament Scores: Texas A&M Fills Out College World Series Bracket

The final game of the super regionals round is complete and the 2011 College World Series bracket is officially set. The Texas A&M Aggies bounced back from an ugly 23-9 loss on Sunday to defeat the Florida State Seminoles 11-2. A&M jumped on top quickly with a six run first inning and the Seminoles could not get anything going throughout the evening as they were held to four hits. Even thought they drew six walks, they simply couldn't get together enough hits to break down the A&M pitching.

The victory sends Texas A&M to the 2011 College World Series where they'll face the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday June 19 at 4:00pm pacific on ESPN2. This game impacts Cal because the winner of Cal-Virginia faces the winner of South Carolina-Texas A&M with the losers facing off in the loser's bracket.

The field for Omaha is set with all eight teams ready to stake their claim for a national championship. On the other side of the bracket, North Carolina opens with Vanderbilt and Texas faces Florida. The tournament begins June 18 and lasts through June 28 or 29 (if a third game is needed in the championship series). The magical run of the California Golden Bears will face its stiffest challenge yet as Cal is the only team that wasn't a top seed in their region. The Bears will have an uphill climb to win it all. We'll have a new College World Series stream this week, but make sure to also check out California Golden Blogs to continue following this magical run.
