Always nice to fit in the occasional non-Bay Area quip every now and again, no? So let's get to that before you change your mind. It's no wonder that the Miami Heat were denied an NBA Championship, as the Dallas Mavericks suited up a deity - THE deity - for the Finals. At least according to LeBron's Twitter account, that is. LeBron took to Twitter following the game six loss (after a bad performance throughout the entirety of said finals) and we were given this gem to work with:
↵↵↵The Greater Man upstairs know when it's my time. Right now isn't the time.

Dirk Nowitzki has been called many things throughout his storied NBA career - and yes, we can now say that it is storied - but none of them have ever been "The Greater Man upstairs." Sure, there were other players on the Mavericks that contributed, especially in game six, but all things go through Dirk, and LeBron couldn't make it past him. There were a lot of things that prevented the Heat from winning a title, and James can call it whatever he wants - but it was very much Dirk Nowitzki that prevented LeBron and those other guys (the less important guys on that team LeBron James plays for) from getting a ring.
