The Stanford Cardinal and California Golden Bears continue to rack up wins in their respective schedules, staying towards the top of NCAA baseball rankings for yet another week. Let's take a look at how each team has fared compared to the rest of the NCAA Division I baseball schools.
The Cardinal remained in the 15th spot in the rankings this week after splitting their last 6 games with 3 wins and 3 losses, two of which came against the numer 4 ranked school and Pac-10 rival Arizona State. Stanford currently owns a 22-16 record this season, with a dismal 6-9 record in Pac-10 play. The Pac-10 currently has 5 teams ranked in the top 40 in the nation, but Stanford will need to pick it up within their conference if they really want to make a move in the rankings.

As for the Golden Bears, they moved up one spot from 37th to 36th this week. They also finished their last 6 games at a 3-3 clip, also with losses to Pac-10 rival Arizona State as well as Oregon. Cal is 27-14 on the season so far with a 11-7 record in Pac-10 play. Cal is ranked 25th in the USA Today/ESPN rankings with Stanford just on the outside looking in to the top 25. Don't know why there is such a disparity between the two rankings, but Cal should probably be ranked a few spots higher in the NCAA ranks in my opinion.
