The 2011 Masters, Live Coverage: Rory McIlroy now at -9, Extends Lead to Two Shots

Out of the top ten players on the leaderboard this Friday of the 2011 Masters, the only only left on the course at the moment is the leader Rory McIlroy, now holding a two shot lead after a bogey at the 12th on the rest of the field at Augusta National.

The 21 year old Northern Irishman is being followed by K.J. Choi at -7 par, Thursday co-leader Alvaro Quiros and Geoff Ogilvy at -6, Stockton native Ricky Barnes and former champion Fred Couples at -5, and first time participant Rickie Fowler at -4.

Tiger Woods has struggled with his short game today leading to 3 bogeys, now sitting at -1 par after 8 holes. Defending champion Phil Mickelson also had a bit of a roller coaster round, shooting even par 72 with four birdies and four bogeys and stays at -2 par for the tournament.

Jason Day has the hottest round on the course at the moment, now -4 for the day through 11 holes, while Luke Donald and Jim Furyk already posting -4 par 68’s for the day. Fresno State alumni Nick Watney is at -1 par through 14, while Matt Kuchar also sits at -4 through the first 9.
