In honor of the 25th anniversary of Jack Nicklaus’ epic 1986 Masters victory, ESPN films will air a documentary tonight about that incredible week at Augusta National and the improbable win by an aging Golden Bear. Nicklaus used an amazing back nine on Sunday to come from behind to get the win, his sixth and final green jacket. The documentary is set to air at 3 p.m. pacific time today on ESPN, so make sure to tune in or set you DVR for what should be a tremendous retelling of golf history.
Along with the film ESPN’s Rick Reily wrote a great piece today about his memories of Jack’s Sunday at Augusta, and his magical back nine that made it all possible. A really good read, definitely worth checking out.
