As the San Jose Earthquakes get ready to host Toronto FC this weekend at Buck Shaw Stadium there is a smorgasbord of news to pass along for the Quakes.
First off a new batch of MLS power rankings came out this week, with the Earthquakes currently sitting in 7th place in the league. The only teams ahead of them from the Western Conference are the Los Angeles Galaxy, the Colorado Rapids, and Real Salt Lake, the current top team in the MLS.
There was also some scheduling news announced this week as the Quakes match against the New York Red Bulls has been moved to Stanford Stadium at Stanford University with a special fireworks show following the game. Firework four packs of tickets are on sale at sjeathquakes.com
Here’s a link to Khari Stephenson’s goal this past Saturday against the Seattle Sounders, which was a finalist for MLS goal of the week. It was quite a hit from far outside the box, and was one of the better goals scored all season so far in you ask me.
The Earthquakes weekly update is full of useful information for all Quakes fans and definitely is worth checking out.
