Another week of PGA tour action, another exciting finish as Brandt Snedeker outgunned Luke Donald in a sudden death playoff at The Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. But there also were some serious numbers put up by some of the Bay Area boys, led by Stockton native Ricky Barnes. Barnes used a Sunday 69 and a pair of 67's to finish at -10 par for the tourney, tied for fourth place overall. With his second top ten of the year it moves Barnes up into the top 50 in FedEx Cup points to 47th place overall.
Sacramento born Spencer Levin finished at -6 par for the tournament, tied for 14th place overall. His nice showing moved him up 3 more spots in FedEx Cup standings to 19th place, just short of racking up his 4 top ten of the year so far.
Carmichael native John Daly had a rough weekend, finishing with back-to-back 74's to finish the tournament at +6 par, while UC Berkley Alumni Charlie Wi fared even worse, finishing at +8 par including a disappointing 77 on Sunday.
Fresno State Alumni Nick Watney did not play this weekend, and currently sits in 6th place in the FedEx cup standings.
