You might have been hearing about Deron Williams, Rajon Rondo, Russell Westbrook, and Derrick Rose the past few months. And they're all fine point guards, some of the best in the league. But let's get one thing straight: Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets is the best of them all. At the top of his game, he can dominate like few others at the point position, and can win a game by dictating the tempo offensively. He showed that by toppling the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers with a performance for the ages--33 points, 14 assists, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 turnovers, and big big buckets down the stretch. He helped turn Willie Green, Aaron Gray, Marco Belinelli and Jarrett Jack.
His best moment from yesterday? An incredible dish from his right hand that he zipped to Gray underneath. Even Drew Brees had to sit back and admire that play.
