The San Francisco Dons look to continue building on their modest postseason aspirations as they travel to face the Hawaii Warriors. The game is at 10:00pm pacific and can viewed at b2livetv.com. Hawaii is currently a six point favorite.
USF will need to contain the “dynamic duo” that leads Hawaii. The Warriors get their biggest contributions from Zane Johnson (15.6 PPG) and Bill Amis (15.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG). They also get 8+ points per game from Vander Joaquim, Joston Thomas, and Hiram Thompson. San Francisco gets double digit points from Michael Williams, Rashad Green, and Perris Blackwell.
Kenpom.com rates this out as a fairly even matchup. They’re both close together in the top third in defensive efficiency and the top of the bottom third in offensive efficiency. Hawaii does a solid job in defensive effective field goal percentage, while San Francisco does better in defensive rebounding. If I had to make a prediction, I’d say San Francisco covers but comes up just short in Hawaii. It’s a tough road trip on such a short turnaround.
