2011 CIT Basketball Tournament Betting Odds, Preview: San Francisco vs. Idaho

The last two Bay Area college basketball teams are in action with California taking on Ole Miss in the 2011 NIT and the San Francisco Dons taking on the Idaho Vandals in the 2011 Postseason Tournament. USF-Idaho is the final 2011 CIT first round matchup with the winner advancing into the second round.

The current betting odds have San Francisco as a 4 1/2 point favorite over Idaho. The Dons come into this game after capping one of their more successful WCC regular season over the last few years. They struggled in non-conference play but then turned things around in WCC play and finished third in the conference behind St. Mary’s and Gonzaga. Idaho struggled early in conference play but won four of their last five conference regular season games before losing to San Jose State in the WAC tournament.

The Vandals are led by Jeff Ledbetter who averages 12.5 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game. Center Kyle Barone is second in scoring with 10.5 points per game and leads the team with 5.9 rebounds per game. The Dons bring a bit more depth in their lineup. They are led by Michael Williams (15.0 PPG, 4.1 RPG), Rashad Green (11.8 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 2.8 APG), Perris Blackwell (10.5 PPG, 7.1 RPG), and Angelo Caloiaro (9.7 PPG, 6.9 RPG).
