The 2011 MLS schedule was released yesterday with the San Jose Earthquakes looking to build on last year's surprise run in the playoffs to the conference finals. This year's schedule will see the Earthquakes on television for all but four of their matches and they'll make appearances on ESPN (vs. NY Red Bulls) and ESPN2 (@ Portland Timbers). The majority of the Earthquakes 2011 matches will be found on the Comcast SportsNet family of networks, which includes CSN Bay Area, CSN California, and CSN Plus. Games on Telefutura and Galavision round out the schedule. ESPN has eight windows during the summer to broadcast international matchups involving MLS clubs, so the Earthquakes could end up on ESPN or ESPN 2 more frequently than the two games listed below.
The Earthquakes have begun their preseason training campaign and will start their MLS regular season action on March 19.
