The final weekend of no baseball is upon us as the magical phrase "Pitchers and Catchers Report" takes hold starting Monday. Valentine's Day may be important for couples, but for San Francisco Giants fans, their love affair with the now defending World Champions picks back up on February 14. The Giants pitchers and catchers report on Monday the 14th, with the full squad reporting February 18.
The Giants had a relatively quiet offseason as far as player acquisitions are concerned, but when you win the World Series the general goal is usually to bring back the talent that got you there. The Giants were incredibly active outside of the front office this offseason and it will be interesting to see if they suffer any sort of hangover. Repeating as world champions is a difficult task and they'll need to get past the potential World Series hangover.
