Santa Clara Vs. Eastern Michigan Final Score: Kevin Foster And Broncos Cruise To 75-55 Win

The Santa Clara Broncos played the opening round of the Cable Car Classic on Thursday night and came away with a decisive win over the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The Broncos put away the Eagles with ease, 75-55. They'll face Wagner on the finals of the Classic on Friday night, since Wagner came up on the winning end against Air Force, 72-61, earlier in the evening.

Santa Clara left little doubt about their eventual win over the Eagles, shutting out Eastern Michigan for over nine minutes in the first half and at one point opening up a 27-point lead in the second half. The Broncos now hold an 8-4 record and remain a perfect 6-0 at home.

Kevin Foster led all scorers with a robust 25 points, including going 6-for-10 on three-pointers. Niyi Harrison notched a double-double, picking up 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Broncos will play their first conference game following the tournament on January 5, as they hit the road to take on the Portland Pilots. Before that, however, the 45th Cable Car Classic Championship will tip off on Friday, December 30 at 8:15 PM PST.
