2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl: The Oreo Coin-Flip

Can't say the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl isn't a classy joint. Just look at the creativity they're showcasing for this contest.

They're flipping an Oreo to kick off Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl instead of a coin. One question: What are they doing with the cookie after?

I'm a little confused about this one. I get the tie-in to the Oreos, but isn't this a bowl about hunger? Is this a symbol of how Oreos represent all that is wrong with our world hunger problems?

And why are they wasting a perfectly good Oreo? Will someone eat it afterward? It's been on the ground, and you can't give it to a dog because they can't eat anything chocolate-based. So many questions that must be answered.
