The San Francisco 49ers are back to smacking people after a 20-3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. A dominant defense and an opportunistic offense is still the name of the game. And next up is another streaking team in the Seattle Seahawks. Streaking so much so that Vegas, even after the Niners' obliteration of one of the top teams in the AFC, has this being a close game.
The Niners opened as 1.5-point favorites over their divisional rivals and still sit at 1.5-points heading into their game on Sunday. The Seahawks are winners of five of their last six games including three straight and are coming off a 38-14 win over the Chicago Bears to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.
The Niners will look to build momentum heading into the playoffs and fight off the New Orleans Saints for the second-seed in the NFC and a first-round bye. The Seahawks will look to try to keep their playoff dreams alive.
Both teams have something to play for. It should be a good one. For more on the 49ers, check out Niners Nation.
