The Santa Clara Broncos hosted the Pacific Tigers on Saturday evening, hoping to remain undefeated at home. With the score knotted at 69-69 at the end of regulation, the game went to overtime. The Broncos were able to open a slight gap and hold on for the eventual 78-76 overtime victory.
Kevin Foster, the junior guard from Santa Clara, led all scorers with 26 points, tying his season high. He also picked up two rebounds and three assists. Sophomore guard Evan Roquemore had a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 11 assists.
Santa Clara has yet to lose on their home turf, improving their record to 5-0 at home and 7-3 overall. Meanwhile, Pacific has yet to win a game on the road, dropping to 0-5 away and 4-5 overall.
The Broncos will visit the Houston Baptist Huskies for their next game, which will be on Wednesday, December 21 in San Marcos, TX.
