Mychael Urban Leaves Comcast SportsNet Bay Area [Updated]

Editor's Note: Bay Area Sports Guy received a statement from Mychael Urban stating that his option year was not being picked up. "They felt a change was needed, so they did what they felt they had to do."

Bay Area sporting fans will be sad to hear that San Francisco Giants insider and Bay Area sports figure Mychael Urban is now longer emplyed by Comcast SportsNet, according to an official statement. 

"Mychael Urban is no longer employed with Comcast SportsNet. We appreciate his contributions over the last few years and we wish him well."    

Urban recently jumped ship from radio station KNBR to join the newly formed FM station 95.7 The Game, along with other Bay Area sports personalities Matt Maiocco, Matt Steinmetz and Brodie Brazil. Urban has not mentioned what will come next for him, but has made sure to change his twitter feed accordingly:
