Great Alaska Shootout 2011: USF Dons Trailing Murray State At Half

The Great Alaska Shootout is underway and features quite a few of the more promising mid-major teams in 2011. At the half of tonight's matchup, the San Francisco Dons trail the Murray State Racers by a score of 30-19.

The Dons struggled to connect in the first half and only converted on nine shots against a tough MSU defense. Cody Doolin led the way with nine points and dished out three assists as well. Rashad Green and Michael Williams added four points as well for USF.

Murray State has seen two players score tonight: Donte Poole and Isaiah Canaan. As a matter of fact, those two have taken every shot in the game other than a missed 3-pointer at the buzzer. Poole had 16 in the first half, while Canaan had 14 points and four rebounds.

The second half is just getting underway from Anchorage. USF is off to a strong start this season and a comeback victory would be huge for the program.
