Bay Area golf fans are very excited for the return of PGA Tour action this weekend, starting Thursday at the CordeValle Resort in San Martin for the Fry's.com open. Obviously the big ticket this weekend is Tiger Woods, returning to action for the first time since the PGA Championship in August, but there are a number of intriguing pairings Thursday for you to follow on the course.
Ernie Els recently joined the field, and will be playing with Angel Cabrera and Justin Leonard for the first two rounds. They will be teeing off at 7:40 am PT off of the 10th tee. All three are playing well coming into this week, and are looking to add the Fry's.com Open to their resumes.
Last week's winner in Las Vegas Kevin Na will play with last year's Fry's.com Open Champion Rocco Mediate and Troy Matteson, teeing off the 10th at 7:30 am PT. Sacramento native Spencer Levin will be at 12:20 of the 10th, as well as former number one David Duval at 12:30. Stockton native Ricky Barnes will tee of the 1st tee at 11:40.
All four days of the tournament will be televised on the Golf Channel from 1-5 pm PT.
Thursday and Friday will have spilt tee times off the 1st and 10th tees.
