After a blazing first half, the Kings regressed in a big way, scoring only 10 points in the entire quarter. Detroit took advantage, scoring 23 and taking the lead on a couple of Rodney Stuckey Free Throws at the 1:27 mark.
Tayshaun Prince is leading the way for Detroit, having scored 19 points on 8-12 shooting and playing his usual solid defense. In fact the Pistons team defense has picked up the pace as well, moving solidly and packing the paint to negate the Kings size advantage.
The Kings are also shooting themselves in the foot from the Free Throw line, only shooting 6-14 from there, to the Pistons 14-19. The Kings bigs are also in a bit of foul trouble as Samuel Dalembert has 5 and DeMarcus Cousins has 4.
Tyreke Evans, after shooting 8-11 in the first half, only shot 1-6 in the 3rd and was relatively ineffective. No Kings player got going on either end. The Kings as a whole shot only 5-19 in the quarter, with only 1 assist.
