A couple of good games yesterday in the Bay Area. Baseball is getting more and more interesting by the day, even as a Giants fan and dealing with a loss, I enjoyed the action yesterday immensely. Still, I can't wait for Sunday and both of the NFL games. I'll be watching both. Let's get to it.

I both love and hate the title of this postgame thread from McCovey Chronicles. "Giants avoid the sweep," is potentially the very best way you could put this. In case you didn't get it, the Giants were angling to pull off a sweep being up 2-0 in the series. The A's played a great game of baseball yesterday. There's not much more to it than that. Coco Crisp knew what was up. Athletics Nation has a postgame thread up as well.
The 49ers announced their team captains yesterday and Niners Nation had a post on it. They also covered the signing of quarterback Nate Davis to their practice squad, which a lot of 49ers fans have to be happy about. Lastly, they posted an injury report for the upcoming game on Sunday against the Seahawks
